My Best Makeup Remover!

Everyone always seems to be after the best way to remove all of their makeup. I have tried many methods, maybe not as many as some other people, but that is because I think I have found the absolute best way to do it! I have tried several different bottles of eye makeup remover, cleansers and different brands of remover wipes. Whenever I have used the wipes or cotton pads with remover, I have felt like I am pulling on my face. I kept thinking that this kind of tugging or pulling on my face can't be too good for my skin and that I might be enhancing the possibility of wrinkles and lines in my face. I went to the drugstore looking for a new makeup remover method and I came across the "Clean and Clear Makeup Dissolving Foaming Cleanser".

This remover is a foaming cleanser that claims to remove face and eye makeup including waterproof mascara. This cleanser definelty lives up to these claims! I use this to take off all of my makeup and I don't find that it breaks me out or irritates my eyes, I have had this problem with other products in the past and I find my skin and eyes are usually quite sensitive.

This picture shows one pump of the cleanser. I find that I usually use 5-6 pumps of the cleanser to completely remove all of my makeup. To give you an idea of what my usual makeup routine includes, I wear a full coverage foundation, setting powder, blush and usually full eye makeup that includes eyeliner. When I am having a more light makeup day, I usually only need 3-4 pumps to remove all of the makeup on my face.
To use this cleanser, you wet your face (including your eyes) and pump the cleanser into your hand. Massage the cleanser around your entire face including your eyelids and gently on your eyelashes. Rinse your face thoroughly and pat dry.
After I remove my makeup I use my face cleanser on a cleansing mitt. Whenever I am rinsing off my mitt, I never notice any face makeup residue on it. I think that this proves that the makeup remover really does a great job!
One time a friend of mine was spending the night at my house and she had forgotten her face wash and makeup remover. She asked to borrow mine and when she came out of the bathroom from washing her face she said that it was the best makeup remover she has ever used!

I have been using this cleanser for at least the last 4 years and have gone through too many bottles to count. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick, easy way to remove all of their makeup in one step!

Cinderella Storylook Eyeshadow Palette

I recieved this palette for this past christmas and I would like to share my thoughts on it. Being a Disney princess lover I was immediately attracted to this palette and I think the manufacturers did a great job of incorporating the main colour themes of the movie into the eyeshadow shades. I think the names of the colours are really cute and the packaging is absolutely GORGEOUS. The perfect palette for a Disney fan and makeup collector.

As I mentioned before the packaging is stunning. The shades of blue combined with the gold details are beautiful. I really admire the attention to detail in the gold engraving with the subtle images from the movie. Even when looking at the box right now as I am typing out this post I noticed there is a very small image of the prince kissing Cinderella's hand. Too cute! This packaging is why I am such a die-hard Disney fan, the attention to detail.

This palette includes 20 eyeshadow shades and in my opinion a good mix of colours based on the movie and neutral shades. You can remove the tray that the eyeshadows are in for convenience when using the palette as well as a jewelery box when the eyeshadows are all used up. Although I don't think I will ever completely use every eyeshadow, it is a cute feature to include in the palette if for nothing more then convenience. Many times when using the eyeshadows on myself or others, I have removed the shadows from the bulkier packaging to fit more comfortably in my hand.

These are the first 10 eyeshadows in the palette.(side note: I really like the added little touch of "fairytales do come true") From left to right the shades are:

- Maiden- a satin finish magenta colour with red sparkles.
- All Aglow- a shimmery/frosted peach tone
- Destined- a frosted aqua (green/blue) with a slight gold duochrome
- Cinderelly- a matte light kelly green
- Pumpkin Coach- a creamy peach with gold sparkles
- Ball Gown- a frosted and shimmery white (finish close to all aglow)
- Kill Joy- a frosted charcoal grey
- Fairy Godmother- a matte periwinkle blue
- Glass Slipper- a matte, slightly frosted light blue
- Royal- a matte cobalt blue

These are the remaining 10 shades in the palette and seem to be the more neutral half of the collection. I really appreciate how many neutral shades there are in this palette considering how many colour options they could have taken from the movie. They could have included more matte neutral shades in the palette but overall the assortment of shades is great. From left to right the shades are:

- Gus Gus- a bright, shimmery,frosted gold
- Charming- a frosted champagne w/slight yellow undertone
- Chateau- a frosted deep bronze with a slight reddish undertone
- Palace-a frosted light peach with a slight light brown undertone
- Drizella- a true frosted bronze
- Cinders-a sparkley black (seems to be a mix of gold and silver)
- Jaq- a deep charcoal greyish brown with slight gold sparkles
- Midnight- a deep navy with alot of cobalt blue sparkles
- A Wish- a matte creamish peach
- Rococo- a deep burgundy, plum with a hint of redish sparkle

From left to right: Cinders, Rococo, Fairy Godmother, Glass Slipper, Cinderelly

Keep in mind for these swatches that I have fairly pale skin (approximately NC20 in MAC colour shades) so the lighter matte shades may not show up as clearly on camera as they do in person.

Overall I think that the pigmentation and assortment of eyeshadows in this palette is great. There are so many neutral shades and the coloured shades are so reminiscent of the movie and are very versatile to work into any look for any eye colour. I think this palette is a great addition to any girl's makeup collection.
